I started this blog as a way to document my favorite recipes, as well as to give others a look inside my kitchen to catch a glimpse at what I am cooking, how I am cooking it and how it tastes. I am not a professional Chef by trade, actually, my day job consists of procurement, inventory, and planning management but, I have loved cooking since I was a kid. I grew up idolizing a variety chefs such as Anthony Bourdain, Jacques Pepin, Mario Batali and of course my cooking idol of all time Jamie Oliver. I rarely use recipes, in fact, even when trying to follow a recipe I almost always end up going rustic, well, unless I am baking, then I almost always measure out the ingredients, at least the important ones anyway. I come from a family of inspirational women that love to cook, that offered encouragement to explore different foods by exposing me to high end cuisine and taught me the greatest lesson of all, which is to try something at least once before deciding that it's not something you like. To this day, I can thank them for my love of black olives. I look at cooking not as a task but, as my passion and strive for that to come out in the dishes I make. So, feel free to comment, ask questions, and add suggestions.
